The author follows very closely to canon while still creating tons of new and interesting character dynamics, with my favourites being Beth and Beardo's friendship, Topher and Sierra's rivalry, Lightning and Amy's villainous romance, and Bridgette and Geoff's Odd Friendship with Shawn. It also gives much-needed development for characters like Lightning, Jo, and Staci. Admittedly, there were some disappointments too. For instance, I felt the DJ/Dawn/Samey Love Triangle went on for a bit too long and gave them little else to do (the author missed the opportunity to have DJ and Dawn become close friends with Geoff and Bridgette), only to be resolved in a somewhat cheap manner. But regardless, this is an excellent AU experiment that takes the characters and stories we know to interesting places. I especially recommend the Shuffled versions of Island and Action for those interested.
FanficRecs Worth it for the new dynamics and interactions
